The Eila ~ Manolo's ~ Sigh

Bonjour My Friends,  I have been reading so many amazing posts by all of you who are either in Paris or just home from a visit there. I have to say that the photos, the stories, and the images of the food and people have me longing to go back more than ever! Oh how I wish I was in Paris!

Jimmy Choo ~ Super sparkly, super delicious

So, thinking of Paris made me think up a faux itinerary in my head. Where would we (my bestie and I) eat, where would we shop, how many days would we spend in the country, how many in Versailles, how many gorgeous French men would we have to turn down for dinner dates.

~Donna Karan~

And of course...how many pairs of shoes would I need to pack!?! I know, I know, these are hardly practical to go meandering around the cobblestone streets with and hardly as chic as the Converse that everybody is wearing around town right now, but they are gorgeous.

Valentino~ Need I say more?

After all a girl needs to have tea at the Ritz and visit the ballet. Besides, doesn't a macaron taste even more delicious in a pair of Louboutins?

Bonjour Mes Amis! If you have read my last post you know that I have been bitten by the entrepeneurial bug. I have always dreamed of owning a brick~and~mortar store and now is the time. A lot has changed since that last post that seems like it was ages ago but really it's only been a couple of weeks. We have found a new space and a new name that better fits our passion for this dream we are making a reality!

Source unknown: If it is yours please let me know so I can add a link and tag it properly. It is just too delicious to pass up!

After some new developments, some gorgeous, ornate doors have opened for me. I am partnering up with the amazing Ebony from Mahogany Maddison to open a different kind of boutique experience. I am very excited to say that our opening date has been pushed back just a bit in order to prepare our new space. We are so excited with this adventure. I so appreciate all of the amazing and encouraging comments and if you were planning to attend, please sit tight and I promise, it will be worth the wait.

We are planning so many exciting things and I can't wait to share it all with you! I will keep you posted and I am so grateful for you and excited to take this giant leap with all of you by my side. After all it is because of you that I've been inspired and motivated.

I just fell in love with this image from {This is Glamorous} One of the most beautiful blogs I have ever laid eyes on and a long time fave!

Bonjour Mes Amis! Profuse apologies for not posting more often! I have been so busy with a very special project. I've been holding back sharing the news but I think now is the time to "let the cat out of the bag" so to speak.
I am so excited to announce that I have teamed up with the incredible Ebony from Mahogany Maddison and Paris Atelier furniture and accessories are going to be featured in her new boutique!

This is a stunning boutique in a French/Shabby Chic style. The brick and mortar shop is located in Historic Downtown Upland in California and it is going to be beautiful! I am so excited. I would love to see you there if you are in the area.

Even more exciting news: We are looking for unique and talented vendors to feature and would love to hear from you amazing bloggers out there. I think some of the most incredible talent is right here in the blogosphere. Please feel free to E~mail me with info, photos, and ideas at Atelierparis@Gmail.com

I will keep you posed with news from this fabulous adventure and miss you all so much! I am off to explore what I have been missing in your amazing post over the last few weeks. Merci!!!

Free'P'Star another great stop on your hunt for vintage fashion
Image from store website
Bonjour Friends! I have been aching to shop in Paris and I have been dreaming of a classic Chanel piece of jewelry. One from the time when Chanel herself ran things. *sigh*
For now it is a only a dream but someday! For now I am content visiting some amazing vintage shops in Paris. I hope you enjoy then as much as I have.

Mamz'Elle Swing Image from Allure.blogspot.com

Mamz'Elle Swing on the rue du Roi de Sicile is a favorite. I love the storefront and the owner is a wonderful lady. If you get lucky you may run into vintage Hermes, Dior, and Chanel here. A definite stop for any vintage gal.

Wochdom Image from ParisNY.com

Wochdom is one of the coolest stores I've been in. It has a dark club kind of atmosphere with dark walls and boutique merchandising. It a gorgeous place to shop. It really sets the mood for finding clothes with a history. the downstairs is amazing and huge!!! This shop is great you can find vintage Lanvin (one of my faves) mixed with ready to wear vintage, fabulous!!! Across the street you can find another Wochdom that specializes in shoes and accessories...heaven!!!

Quidam de Revel Image via Lucky magazine

Quidam de Revel is an incredible by appointment only vintage shop specializing in clothing from Roger Vivier, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Hermes, Pucci, Dior, Lanvin, Biba, and Ossie Clarck. If you can get in the door you are in for a sublime treat!

Yukiko is an absolutely incredible shop. I saved the best for last. The owner Yukiko selects only the finest vintage for her beautiful shop. The place is dreamy, girly and sophisticated all at once. Making you think Grace Kelly is about to walk in at any moment. I didn't want to leave, seriously, I was forced by my companion to leave! Yukiko also produces her own line of very feminine furs and slinky pieces. The owner/designer has started an Eshop called Vintage Paris and it is fantastic! I drool every time I stop in for a peek! I'm about to go look now, I might just find my dream Chanel piece.

First, I would like to give a special Thank you to Mandy at A La Parisienne
She gave me the beautiful button for my new Etsy shop that you see above. It's so perfect and so pretty! I knew she was talented but I had no idea! A visit to her blog is sheer joy! Her images are remarkable and she is such a talented, warm, and genuine person. Thank you Mandy!!!!

I would also like to say a big Congratulations to.....

Janet at FrenchBlue

which carries some of the most heavenly items, take a look but make sure you have some time set aside, you might get lost in there, it is too pretty to leave!

I am just about to list some pretty Satin Vintage Drapery and the most delicious Satin Bedspread in the Etsy store. They are all one set and they are from the 40's. I almost can't stomach parting with them :( They have just been sitting for years not being appreciated. I can't bring myself to put them out to brave the elements. I have had them wrapped in acid free paper and sealed for almost a decade. What a shame, they should be looked at and often! :) If they are not up tonight they will be tomorrow so be sure to check in.

And now....My second giveaway (pictured above and below)!
To enter just pop into the new Paris Atelier Etsy shop and then come back here to leave a comment, that's it :)

Good Luck!
XOXO
Judith~

Hello! I am so excited that you are all enjoying the new Etsy shop! Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and support!

Don't forget to enter the giveaway by leaving a comment here. I will be drawing a winner on Monday and doing one more giveaway starting Friday. Don't forget to check back in for more details :)

I just thought I would share one of my guilty pleasures with you. I'm gearing up for the Pasadena Rose Bowl on Sunday! I love, love, love spending the morning there and I can't believe that it is already time to go again! It happens every 2nd Sunday if each month and the last one happened to fall on Mother's Day. It seems like it was last weekend! Where did May go!?!

I really enjoy getting up early, leaving the Baby and Husband sleeping soundly, grabbing a cup of tea from the Coffee Bean and heading out to Pasadena. I usually meet up with some of my close girlfriends for a day of treasure hunting, good conversation, and a petite break from Mommy duties.

Paris it is not, however, still a fun and relaxing day! It is incredible how different our wares are here in America from the fleas in Europe.

Images from Rose Bowl via Flickr

So, it's off to the Rose Bowl this Sunday and I can't wait! I am meeting up with my best friend and kindred spirit! I have in mind some little treasures I would like to find to complete my newly redecorated office at home. Will any of you be there!?! Let's meet up! I'll bring the tea and we can browse the chandies!
Don't forget to enter for the giveaway here.

Bonjour My Friends! Comment ca va? I have just had the most wonderful day with my little Prince (who is back to his gentlemanly way, thank goodness) and my two best friends. We went to the Zoo and had too much fun for one day. So, I am posting a quick post, a random bit of info, and some pics from the desktop to remind me of my beloved Paris. Enjoy!
The first image is from Le boudoir et sa Philosophie in Paris. It is a beautiful little shop at 18, rue Charlot and I fall in love a little bit more every time I step inside for a visit. Carla Vizzi is the mastermind behind this fabulous shop. She strives to make it a place that rediscovers the Art of the 18th-century Boudoir. Carla works with craftsmen who recreate 18th century art and she also sells antiques, she looks for elements that may have been found in Marie Antoinette's boudoir. Most of you have probably heard of Carla and her site but I am loving silhouettes right now and had to use this image :)

These decals for the wall are so fun. Nice for those of us with commitment issues when it comes to decorating! A pretty pair of shoes and a stack of books...what more could a girl ask for!?!

I have no idea where this image came from but I love it. Makes me want to throw a lavish Tea party and invite all of you!

A gown from the Met. This is one of my favorites. A modern day Marie~Antoinette.

Ah, Les puces , this was one of my very favorite posts. I have many fond memories in these stalls. I am determined to go back soon. I was trying to go on the next trip with Claudia from The Paris Apartment (if you have not already been to visit her incredible site, please take a peek, you will be astounded by the beauty you will see). The Pink chair in the back haunts me!

Stunning! The dress is pretty too but I was looking at the walls and ceiling! :) I need professional help!

A forgotten corner in the halls of Versailles. Simple and enchanting.
That's all for today my friends, I should get some sleep now.
Bon nuit!

Odorantes
9 Rue Madame, Paris, France
Phone: 01-4284-0300 Parisians, movie stars, and travelers from around the world adore this magical and whimsical floral boutique near the Eglise St.-Sulpice.

All of the above images are from this site here. Which unfortunately for me is in another language but the images are gorgeous.

The Florist is known for its bouquets of deliciously smelling flowers as their very name suggests. Whether it's black roses, white lilies or lavender snow peas, all of the bouquets are designed to smell magnificent.
Image from Domino mag
The porcelain flower in the glass dome is by botanically inspired ceramist Antonella Haffaf. Look at that giant peony! Amazing!

Photo from Domino mag
The rose ancienne is very special at Odorantes as is their incredible Black Baccara rose, this boutique is the ultimate in Parisian floral chic.

Emmanuel Sammartino and Christophe Hervé who run this delicious establishment are so incredibly amiable in person. They truly strive to make one's every dream come true and really tailor the bouquets to the recipient. Both are true artists.

Each bouquet comes wrapped in chic black paper with a poem tucked inside. Clients include Catherine Deneuve, Sofia Coppola, and the fashion houses Chanel, Givenchy, Gaultier, and Céline.
The boutique is painted in a matte Grey to showcase the beauty of the flowers and the taxidermy animals lend a different feeling to the decor. It is a stunning little shop to visit and maybe splurge on a fragrant Black rose bouquet. Happy smelling!
